HANDS (Housing and Neighborhood Development Services of Central Florida, Inc. is hosting a free workshop at the Heart of West Lakes Wellness Center on Saturday, August 30th, for Credit & Budget Counseling + Homebuyer Education. Understanding your finances can be a difficult topic, but it doesn’t have to be. HUD-certified housing counselors are here to help! Register to book your counseling session.

WHAT CAN CREDIT & BUDGET COUNSELING DO FOR YOU:

1. Understand the fundamentals of creating a budget tailored to your lifestyle.

2. Understand your credit report and which factors are affecting you the most.

3. Learn how to create an emergency fund and secure your financial future.

4. Understand your spending patterns and the affects it has on your savings goals.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR COUNSELING:

1. Driver’s License/State ID Card

2. Bank Statements (2 months): includes checking, savings, and any joint accounts you may share.

3. Paystubs (2 complete months): must cover each week of the 2-month period

4. Tax Returns

5. W2 (for the current year)

6. Proof of other income: Social security, child support, food stamps, CashApp/Zelle/Paypal, etc.

7. Homebuyer Education Certificate – if applicable

8. Utility Bill – only applicable if the address on your ID is not your current address

9. Business Bank Statements (2 months) – only applicable if self-employed

10. Business Tax Return (current and previous year) – only applicable if self-employed

11. Business Profit and Loss Statement – only applicable if self-employed
